Hello, sorry for the delay, I was in vacation.
I’m very glad you’re ready to lend us Mike’s work. An expostition will happen but unfortunatly not soon, it will take us some time. Maybe you could send us pictures of those painting? I’ll be happy to see them and I could put them on this website if you’re ok with it.

Hi. I believe Amba and I have comminicated before. About 10 yrs ago I acquired 3 of Michales sketch books and led me on a journey to return them tp his family. I woild stoll like to happen if you help me.
Mike was a classical painter who dominated his subject in detail. He was the van Gogh and Piscasso the 21st century. His sudden death was an accident. In the Tagesspiegel, Berlin obituary of him with the words “He hated interpretations …” Mike `s works have a uniqueness and belongs to the Department of German Art Musseen. I call this take the Arts Council of the BBK this legacy into a foundation of deceased artists.
I was great friends with Mike years ago. The photos of Art in Melbourne was two-three years previous to the date given. I did not know he had passed. My condolences to an amazing character and exceptional Artist…
I am one of Mikes cousins from New Zealand, it was so amazing to be able to find a tribute for him and his amazing work. He painted a piece while visiting us here and it is at my parent house. I look forward to being able to print more of his pictures to remember him by. A great artist, a great man, gone to soon.
I recently acquired 3 sketch books by Mike Corkill and I think your cousin might be the creator of these amazing sketches (more than 100!!!) What should I do with them?
I know Mike when he was in Melbourne sometime ago. I had a huge painting that he did for me of Greek gods, that I displayed in business. People for many years commented on how unique and talented the painter (Michael) was . The painting I still have is about 4 metres wide by 1 metre. It’s sad to hear about Michaels passing away.🙏
